About Freshie Roadmaps

Freshie Roadmaps was the first event of the Math Club, aimed at giving freshies a glimpse into how the club works. It featured a teaching session on Markov Chains, followed by a contest. Google Page Rank algorithm was taken as an example illustrate some of the practical applications of Markov Chains. The event drew the attention of a large number of enthu freshies. It was conducted in collaboration with the Programming Club, where they explored binary search algorithms with some puzzles. The event took place in CS15 and SSB134 rooms.
